We unlock millions of acres for clean energy, support sustainable food production, and empower rural areas – while generating x10 revenue per acre.
Problem
If you had one acre of land, would you use it for solar energy or for agriculture?
We come from a family that has been in agriculture for over 5 generations, but something has changed in the last years: we’re experiencing tension first-hand. Agriculture and solar farms are competing for the same lands.
While essential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, solar farms require significant land and often favor flat, sun-rich terrains, which coincide with our prime agricultural lands. It’s clear that we need a solution, and we need it now.
Solution
What if we could produce clean energy while maintaining agricultural lands and supporting rural communities?
We solve this dichotomy by allowing dual land use. We do so by scaling an innovative, but proven technology: vertical bifacial panels, which require minimal space, allowing farmers to keep farming.
Besides, our revenue-share model increases income for farmers supporting the so-in-need rural communities and protecting our food supply system.
Origins
Born between Harvard and MIT. A collaborative approach from the start.
Our roots run deep in Spanish farmlands, and our growth extends to the academic hub of Boston: We were born in Cambridge, MA, with the unvaluable support of Harvard and MIT.
We are a diverse team of hard-working and dedicated individuals united by a shared passion: tackling climate change in an equitable manner. We're not just about clean energy, we champion sustainable agriculture.
Technology
Our proprietary design includes a novel panel’s racking structure as well as easy-to-tailor modular design to ensure a seamless integration to the agricultural environment.
Regular solar panels produce the most energy in the middle of the day.
In contrast, we maximize production in the morning and evening, when the electricity price is higher.
